Job description

a.i. solutions is seeking a driven individual who join our team and support, direct, review, coordinate, and implement Electronic Part, requirements, policies, and procedures for, planning, developing, acquisition, and execution of the Part, Materials and Processes (PMP) and mission assurance. This person will also serve as a technical consultant on PMP policy issues affecting program reliability, mission assurance, and service life and verifies that functions are performed uniformly. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

 

    Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Direct, review, coordinate, and implement Electronic Part, requirements, policies, and procedures for, planning, developing, acquisition, and execution of the Part, Materials and Processes (PMP) and mission assurance.
    • Evaluate and inspect design and manufacturing processes of electronic components/circuits or mechanical parts to ensure conformance of design and equipment specifications.
    • Identify failures, research screening and qualification test plans, and recommend potential technical solutions of parts, materials, and processes applications. Activities include managing the MDA’s Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Program.
    • Provide electronic reliability and part application analyses in order to identify failures, write screening and qualification test plans, and determine potential technical solutions of electronic components.
    • Assist in the processing and maintenance of data stored in the “As Designed” Parts, Material and Processes List (ADPMPL). Prepare related reporting presentations and documents and support process/tool improvements.
    • Perform technical evaluations to provide input on Program responses to specific inquiries for the Parts and Materials Advisory Group (PMAG) and submit a report.
    • Serve as a technical consultant on PMP policy issues affecting program reliability, mission assurance, and service life and verifies that functions are performed uniformly.
    • Attend and engage in program level PMP Control Board (PMPCB) meetings in support of the co-chair.
    • Provide knowledge of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policies in support of PMP requirements on Advanced weapon systems.
    • Detect, evaluate and prevent counterfeit parts and materials to include inspection techniques and test methods.
    • Travel periodically, approximately three times per year for 2-4 days per trip
    • Position is located at MDA facility on Redstone Arsenal with expectation to work onsite at least 2 days per week, otherwise telework from home is authorized when not required to be onsite. Expectation is in the future it will eventually transition back to onsite at MDA full time with limited telework. 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Professional engineering from a school of engineering Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc. in electrical engineering (EE) (ABET) accredited as professional engineering curriculum
    • 15+ years relevant experience.
    • Experience in the application of military, industry, and commercial parts, materials, and Processes (PMP) standards.
    • Experience utilizing part attribute tools to conduct part obsolescence analyses.
    • Advanced knowledge in the detection and prevention of counterfeit parts and materials to include inspection techniques and test methods.
