SUMMARY
The Manager of Dynamics Analysis is responsible for the efficient operation of the Dynamics Analysis group and provides leadership, planning, and direction for their team of experts. You will help design and develop the analytical tools and processes necessary for launch vehicles and spacecraft dynamics across multiple disciplines including vibrations, dynamics loads, shock, and coupled loads analysis. The analysis manager works closely with leadership across all Firefly programs to allocate resources, determine staffing needs, and coordinate activities within their team to hit company priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for task and project management and employee performance management
- Continued development of fundamental analysis training and tools for the company across all technical disciplines
- Give feedback and guidance in technology development within the Mechanical Engineering Department
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to various technical programs within the company
- Ensure documentation of analysis meets or exceeds requirements for customers and launch authority
- Assure compliance with company plans, process, and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 10+ years of experience – any combination of advanced education or industry experience with focus in aerospace analysis
- Experience with a wide range of analysis techniques and tools.
- Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams
- Ability to communicate effectively
Desired
- Master’s Degree or higher in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Significant experience in 2 or more of the group’s analysis disciplines (loads analysis, dynamics, shock, vibration, or CLA)
