- Assess existing supplier evaluation process and make recommendations for improvements
- Review specifications to assist in proper supplier selection
- Review program requirements to assign the proper quality clauses to purchase orders during approval process
- Assist receiving inspection with verifying product/paperwork compliance and throughput metrics
- Investigate and troubleshoot any supplier related product or production issues and provide technical input
- Monitor supplier performance metrics re-evaluation process to proactively act to address issues
- Issue supplier corrective actions requests and follow-up to ensure implementation of solutions/improvements
- Support the nonconformance process by communicating with suppliers to determine root cause and corrective actions
- Continuous communication with suppliers
- Support supplier audits, source inspection, and pre-ship review support
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues
- This position will also involve occasional support for other projects and programs as determined by the Quality Manager
- Work with little guidance and decide and create ways to solve problems, provide solutions to a variety of problems, know the goals but can choose the way to get there
- Work under general direction, independently determine and develop approaches to solutions, results are reviewed upon completion for meeting objectives
- Guide and check the work of less experienced workers
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of applicable/equivalent experience with a High School diploma/equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of supplier quality assurance experience in a regulated industry, ideally with Aerospace industry experience
- Deep and broad knowledge of supplier quality assurance and related fields.
- Ability to travel to suppliers (up to 25%) within the region / area, occasionally out-of-state
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of common inspection tools and how to use them
- US Citizenship is required (Green Card Holders and Visa sponsorships are not accepted).
- Experience in Aerospace or Space Flight environments strongly preferred
- Experience with QMS per AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 highly desired
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T knowledge a plus
- Adaptability and flexibility with evolving work priorities & challenges
- Problem solving skills and working knowledge of root cause analysis tools (RCCA, PDCA, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written)

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
