Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 4 to join our team of talented and diverse individuals supporting the SDS Division at our Roy, UT location.
What You’ll Get To Do
These tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Support a fast-paced, high-profile program; create, maintain, and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Conduct security audits.
- Assist with Media Issuance, Accountability, and Destruction.
- Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on action(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
- Submit, review, and verify Visit Requests through queries to government security databases and systems.
- Support classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4) and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.
- Maintain access control, including UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
- Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance.
- Assist program managers and professional staff in the interpretation, application, and compliance with program Security Classification Guides (SCG).

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Must have administrative, security education, inventory, risk management, security compliance, or other security-related experience.
- Experience with the National Industrial Security System (NISS), the Security Information Management System (SIMS), and/or the Defense Information Security System (DISS).
- Experience with computer and desktop Microsoft Office software products
- Experience working with classified
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
- Familiarity with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoD 5205.07 manuals.
- Organized and efficient at time management.
- Must be detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and will be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-started with minimal supervision.
- Experience with government compliance inspections.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Confluence, or JIRA.
- Experience with Lenel.
- Experience working with Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
