This position will be located in Gilbert, AZ.
In this role you will:
- Perform a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components
- Draft detailed drawings for fabrication devices
- Fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies
- Set up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions
- Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications
- Support the integration of Northrop Grumman Spacecraft as assigned
You will acquire necessary skills on-the-job under the tutelage of senior level technicians and engineers. You will get the opportunity to support mechanical leads and engineers with the installation of extremely fragile space flight hardware onto space vehicles and additionally will proactively identify issues, escalate to appropriate channels, and suggest solutions to engineering for review. You will also support spacecraft and spacecraft subsystem assembly and test.

Basic Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance and SCI Clearance at time of application
- Prior Manufacturing experience
- Certifications with flight wire harnessing, flight soldering, and/or epoxy bonding/application required
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules (i.e.1st and 2nd shifts, weekends, overtime, and travel for launch campaigns. Occasional short-term projects with travel may be required.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MLI – Thermal Blanket installation

Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
