SR. PAYMENTS OPERATIONS ANALYST (STARLINK)
Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, will deliver low-latency broadband internet to 3M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class engineers and analysts to rapidly accelerate our growth around the globe.
As a Sr. Payments Operations Analyst on the Payments team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our payment platform. You will be responsible for maintaining platform health, driving optimization efforts, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to improve processes. You’ll proactively identify potential issues, resolve them efficiently, and lead troubleshooting efforts when payment-related challenges arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the operations of payment processing, including transaction workflows, issue resolution.
- Monitoring platform health and key performance metrics. Identify and implement opportunities for payments growth, cost optimization, and process improvements.
- Lead data-driven analysis efforts to enhance payment performance, customer experience, and automation opportunities.
- Monitor daily payments settlements and engage with internal finance teams and external payment providers to plug gaps.
- Drive readiness for new launches, managing external payment provider selection, setup, testing, and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external payment partners to diagnose and resolve complex payment-related issues.
- Own and continuously improve manual and automated payment processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience in operations within payments, fraud, risk, or ecommerce sectors.
- 3+ years of professional experience with SQL.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years in a payments function at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and scripting.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels within an organization.
- Ability to develop a data-driven long-term payment optimization strategy within a multiprocessor environment.
- Ability to document and implement processes that scale with the business.
- Advanced SQL proficiency. Able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our payments through this process.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work long hours and weekends as needed
- This position is based in Sunnyvale and requires being onsite - remote work is not considered
- Willingness to travel to corporate customer sites, other SpaceX locations as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Business Analyst/Senior: $120,000.00 - $155,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
