Job Description:
Omitron is looking for an experienced Orbital Analyst to join our Vandenberg Operations team. We are a company rooted in ensuring mission success across flight operations, trajectory design and analysis, software tools for Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and On-Orbit Spaceflight Safety. You will work closely with OAs and Engineers to ensure successful mission operations along with developing and delivering products which enable government customer situational awareness and decision making.
As a mid-level Orbital Analyst (OA), you will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and predicting the behavior of space objects. OAs ensure the space flight safety of our customers’ satellite assets in a congested space domain. Your expertise in orbital mechanics and data evaluation will be pivotal to overall mission success. A successful mid-level OA will execute processes to coordinate and integrate relevant information and findings across multiple areas to deliver space analysis products and analytics. You will help mentor other junior orbital analysts on space analysis best practices and provide innovative solutions to the Engineering Lead on various problem sets the team comes across. Candidate will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and Team Leads to support space operations and advance Omitron’s position as a leader in the space industry.
