Our products include launch vehicles, propulsion systems, missile products, subsystems and defense electronics, precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition, satellites and space components and services, and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an Inventory Material Control Support 4 to join our team in Radford, Virginia.

Job Description:

  • Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones.
  • Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Generates and distribute month-end reports used by Finance and other site stakeholders.
  • Creates material movements in the ERP Cost Point Warehouse Management System to support inventory location accuracy and shipping efficiencies.
  • Receiving responsibilities which includes matching of packing slips to purchase orders, acquiring all required paperwork for receipt process, and receiving material into the ERP system.
  • Issuing inventory and consumable items, posting of issues/returns to inventory management software.
  • Preparing export shipment documentation and maintaining export compliance.
  • Creating Bills of Lading for outbound shipments.
  • Responsible for receiving, processing and invoicing customer orders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to starting.
  • Must be eager to cooperate with others and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, thorough, and possess a team attitude.
  • Must be able to understand and correctly execute verbal and written instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.

Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $95,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
