AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.

Summary:

We are looking for a capable and energetic Test Automation Software Engineer. This person will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and improvement of software for sophisticated manufacturing test stations and the analysis of the data those stations generate. Because of the dynamic nature of our rapidly growing business, you will thrive in this role if you have (or can develop) a broad-based knowledge of engineering and product design, a good eye for detail, and the ability to think outside the box.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Designing, developing, and debugging test automation software.
Collaborating with hardware engineers and software developers.
Keeping updated with the latest industry developments.
Providing subject-matter expertise on test equipment and test methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline.
Proficiency in writing software such as C# and Python.
A basic understanding of electronics.
Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with automating electronics test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
