Job description
Company Overview:
ALL.SPACE is at the forefront of satellite communications, developing next-generation antenna terminals for space applications. We are seeking a skilled Antenna Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, simulation, and analysis of advanced antenna systems. This role offers a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge antenna technologies for satellite communications.
Job Overview:
The Antenna Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, electromagnetic (EM) simulations, analysis, and testing of dielectric lenses, feed antennas, phased arrays, and radomes. This position requires a strong foundation in antenna design, simulation, and testing, and the ability to work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative antenna solutions for satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Antenna Design & Analysis: Assist in the design and analysis of feed antennas, dielectric lenses, phased arrays, transmit/reflectarrays, and radomes for satellite communications.
- EM Simulation & Optimization: Perform electromagnetic simulations using tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO. Support optimization tasks using multi-objective stochastic optimizers.
- Prototype Development & Testing: Assist in the development of antenna prototypes, guide testing, and support performance validation based on simulation and real-world measurements.
- Simulation & Measurement Analysis: Analyze simulation results and experimental data using Matlab, Python, or other similar tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, systems, and RF engineers to integrate antenna designs into larger communication systems.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on designs, simulations, measurements, and performance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in antenna design, modeling, and analysis, with a focus on:
- Feed antennas, dielectric lenses, and antenna arrays (e.g., phased arrays, transmitarrays, reflectarrays)
- Radome design and optimization
- EM Simulation Expertise: Proficiency in using 3D full-wave simulation software such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, or similar.
- Programming Skills: Strong experience with Matlab, Python, or similar programming/scripting languages for data analysis and simulation.
- RF Testing Knowledge: Familiarity with RF measurement equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Operating Systems: Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
Desired Skills & Abilities:
- Transformation Optics: Knowledge of transformation optics and electromagnetic design techniques.
- Optimization Algorithms: Familiarity with multi-objective stochastic optimizers for antenna design.
- Optical Design: Exposure to optical lens design and gradient index (GRIN) optics.
- Automated Testing: Experience with automating RF and electronic testing processes through scripting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating effectively within a team.
