Engineering Techs, We Want You!
Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. The Program Integration Department has an opening for an Engineering Technician 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chandler, Arizona.
- Support Launch Vehicles programs administering and performing Data Transfer Agent (DTA) duties for information systems processing National Security Information.
- Perform scheduled, on-demand, and mission critical data transfers across various security boundaries for multiple programs and classified networks.
- Be the subject matter expert on data transfer policies and procedures, to include data transfer software and media.
- Provide weekly status of all file transfer actions to and from classified information systems.
- Process and coordinate physical shipment and receipt of unclassified and classified parcels and media.
- Submits and tracks IT incidents and new requests in accordance with established processes.
- Coordinate handling, destruction, receipt and transferring of security related documentation.
- Administrate the DTA training program for collateral data transfer agents.
- Ensure all DTA related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
- Troubleshoot transfer device issues.
- Participate in technical and security related training relative to assigned duties.

This position may be filled at a level 2 or level 3 depending on the below qualifications.
Basic Qualifications (for level 2):
- High School diploma with 2 years of IT/Computer related experience; OR either an Associates or a Bachelor's degree with 0 years of IT/Computer related experience is required
- Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of IT equipment required
- Experience manipulating computer data and transferring between devices needed
- Must have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered

- High School diploma with 4 years of IT/Computer related experience; OR an Associates with 2 years of IT/Computer related experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0 years of IT/Computer related experience is required
- Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of IT equipment required
- Experience manipulating computer data and transferring between devices needed
- Must have at least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and data transfer type of software
- Experience with DoD data transfer policy and procedures (DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM)
- Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- The ideal candidate will have an Associates degree (or similar technical diploma/degree, preferably in information systems or computer science), or graduation from a military technical school, and 6+ years of relevant IT/Computer experience within a classified environment
- DoD 8570 or DoD 8140 baseline certification at either IAT Level II, or IAM Level I (Example: Security+ CE) would be ideal
- Ability to perform basic analysis and troubleshooting
- Motivated to make an extra effort to provide quality internal and external customer service
- Constantly seeks new sources of information and provides information necessary to meet customer needs
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, works well with others in a team environment.
- Top Secret clearance would be helpful

Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,300.00Salary Range 2: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
