Mission Brief
As a Reusability Engineer, your mission is to advance the design of our reusable launch vehicle. Drawing upon your academic expertise and innovative mindset, you will define our reusable launch system for the purpose of an ongoing development program. Your collaborative and forward-thinking approach will be instrumental in achieving our objectives: revolutionizing space accessibility and advancing the frontiers of the space industry.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Manage institutional reusability projects with external stakeholders (ESA, governmental institutions, etc.)
- Define development roadmaps and timelines to mature reusability of launch systems in alignment with the technical departments
- Derive mission and technical requirements for reusable vehicle based on our current launch system architecture
- Create systems architectures and definition of functional analysis
- Perform concept studies and trade offs
- Create preliminary system and subsystem designs for reusable launch system
- Manage and/or take part in projects with external stakeholders (e.g. ESA, governmental institutions)
- Communicate effectively with project contributors as well as between company and external stakeholders
- Contribute to deliverables writing
Qualification Checklist
- Master study in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
- Technical affinity with a pronounced understanding of rocketry
- Experienced using MS Office applications
- Work experience of max 3 years
- Experience with systems engineering
- Basic understanding of mechanical and propulsion systems
- Experience with material selection and make vs. buy decisions for system components
- Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for task prioritization
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
- Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
- Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
- Fluent in English
Bonus Skills
- Participated actively in a rocketry student group or a construction/design project
- Experience in design of mechanical systems
- Experience in prototyping
