Vast is looking for a Business Development or Mission Management Intern to support the writing of compliant, compelling, and competitive government and commercial proposals.
Our interns are mentored by industry experts responsible for the program management execution of Vast’s customers and human spaceflight programs. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with business development, mission management, marketing, communications, and engineering teams during this 12-week internship at our HQ based in Long Beach, CA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, Economics, or other related disciplines
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on hardware or software technical project experience
- Space industry or human spaceflight mission experience
- Experience working with leading U.S.-based launch suppliers
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical writing experience
Pay Range
- $33/hr Bachelor’s
- $38/hr Master’s

The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
