FACILITIES
Rocket Lab’s Facilities team is responsible for maintenance, operations, and improvements projects across our locations, making sure that the facilities our teams use every day are well looked after and operating as they should.
GENERAL HAND
The General Hand works with the rest of the Propulsion Team to ensure that the test facilities and infrastructure is maintained to a very high standard.
As a General Hand, you will be hands on, working with tools, equipment, directly contributing to the overall operation of the Propulsion Test Complex facility, enabling the build and test of Rocket Lab launch vehicles and components. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Perform building and facility maintenance, upgrade and basic construction tasks
- Perform general cleaning on facility
- Keeping test sites free of weeds and pests
- Supporting logistics with transportation of materials and escorting personnel to and from site
- Responsible for maintaining site services and stock of consumable products used for operations
- Coordinating with maintenance or project planners and applicable external parties to plan and carry out maintenance or facility improvement activities
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 Years Experience in relevant industry, i.e. facility / grounds maintenance activities
- Confident in using hand and power tools
- Full driver’s Class 1 license required
- Ability to follow process without fault
- High attention to detail and understanding of the requirements of the work
- Experienced working with PPE and safety processes on/in hazardous equipment and environments.
