We are hiring immediately for a Quality Engineer to join our team to work in our Longmont, CO or Westminster, CO offices with the option for work-from-home up to two days per week.

In this role, you will review products prior to delivery, ensuring they meet or exceed Product Specification.

Your Project: Whether it is imagery, raster or vector data, the Quality and Delivery team ensures all products meet or exceed both internal requirements and customer expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing Quality Control on a wide range of geospatial products.

What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Review products prior to delivery, ensuring they meet or exceed Product Specification.
  • Ensure that quality standards are being met on all Maxar geospatial products
  • Provide timely quality assessments
  • Partner with other teams in the Operations department to meet quarterly revenue goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, have current or ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance
  • Minimum of 2 years of geospatial work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Proficiency with imagery, DTM/DSM, and vector products
  • Must be willing to be on-call typically once every six to seven weeks - when you are "on-call" you are paid salary plus shift differential pay
  • Additional volunteer on-call opportunities available during holidays with additional pay
  • Must be willing to travel to Longmont or Westminster.

These skills would be preferred:

  • Experience with Unix/Linux at the command line
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to support time-sensitive requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS and Global Mapper
  • Geospatial production background

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$53,000.00 - $114,000.00 annually.
