The Opportunity
We’re looking for an out-of-this-world Internal Communications Coordinator to join our Corporate Communications team! If you have a flair for storytelling and a love for making complex concepts clear, then this is the mission for you. In this role, you will use a variety of channels to help create, share, and amplify internal messages that drive employee engagement and support a culture of transparency and innovation. Based in Brampton at the MDA Space headquarters, the successful candidate will report directly to the Internal Communications Manager and will act as business partner to the Human Resources and Shared Services teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Distribution: Develop and write clear, engaging internal communications including, emails, intranet posts, newsletters and company-wide announcements. Manage content calendar to ensure timeliness of messages. Support the scheduling, publication and distribution of content.
- Act as Business Partner: Support Human Resources, Shared Services (Finance, IT, etc.), and other departments with internal communications needs to ensure alignment and consistent messaging.
- Employee Engagement: Support employee engagement initiatives by promoting internal events, employee programs, and celebrations. Create content that fosters a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain Communication Channels: Oversee internal communication platforms (intranet, email, internal collaboration tools, etc.) to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant and easily accessible to all employees.
- Measurement & Reporting: Track the effectiveness of internal communications efforts through surveys, analytics and employee feedback.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Be a champion for the company's brand, mission, vision and values in all internal communications.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- 2 + years of tactical internal/employee, HR and change communication.
- Superior writing, editing, proofreading, and information gathering experience to shape compelling content across multiple internal channels and platforms (digital and in-person).
- Strong organizational and project management skills with experience in managing multiple, diverse projects and tight deadlines with autonomy, while maintaining timely, high-quality work across the team.
- Demonstrated internal relationship building with business leaders supporting and developing internal content for business communication needs.
- Established strength in developing and delivering high quality internal communication content and campaigns.
- Track record for getting things done, finding solutions to complex challenges, and turning ideas into measurable plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail skills.

The compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
