Position Overview (Summary/Objective):
We are seeking a talented automated software test engineer to join our team that supports U.S. intelligence community partners. We are developing the next generation of signal and image processing software, building on our 75+ year history on the cutting edge in the radar and electro-optical fields. The team has received numerous patents and developed revolutionary and exquisite technologies throughout our history that is continuing with our current work.
In this position, you will be at the forefront of developing the systems that keep our nation safe and work in emerging space technology. This position will work with our team to ensure our software is reliable and performant. Your strong technical skills and passion for innovation will be instrumental in supporting our customers and their missions to keep us safe.
Candidates are welcome in Ypsilanti, MI; Herndon, VA; Melbourne, FL; and Westminster, CO. This work requires an active Top-Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.
- Collaborating with development teams and working with existing code bases.
- Collaborating with system engineers to understand requirements, refine test plans, and develop tests.
- Integrating test automation into a CI/CD pipeline.
- Analyzing and communicating test results and working with development teams to resolve bugs.
- Participating in agile activities like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Participating in formal run for record events with customer.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Proficient with Python and pytest.
- Familiar with cloud computing like AWS.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with version control in Git (GitHub, GitLab).
- Scrum/Agile Development knowledge and experience with Jira.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment to advance large software applications by taking on and completing tasks independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant Python experience.
- Other language skills: C++, Rust, HTML.
- Academic or professional experience in radar, synthetic aperture radar, and/or electro-optical fields.
- Academic or professional experience in digital signal processing.
- Desire to learn and adapt.
