Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with key customers and partners in the Japan space sector
- Act as the daily point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their needs.
- Ensure that client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating effective communication between all stakeholders (customers, government authorities and Thales Alenia Space TAS)
- Analyze market trends and client feedback
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the industrial space sector in Japan. The new hire will have, consequently to propose a strategy of adaptation of TAS “go to market” accordingly.
- Identify new business opportunities within the Japan space sector. Expected order intake for TAS from Japan market is several 100M€ for the next 3-year term.Collaborate with TAS sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.
Qualification and Competencies
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience as Account Management & Capture Sales in Space industry
- Proven track record of managing large accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of satellite systems, space applications, and market dynamics in Japan (telecommunications and remote sensing technologies and services).
- Analytical capabilities of competitive analysis, win strategies, winning price, etc. are required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Japanese and English. Fluency in French would be a plus.
- Computer skills are a must (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)
