Maxar is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to help manage our day-to-day accounting and finance activities in very diverse areas from Project Management to Data Analysis. This position can be based remotely anywhere in the US. This position will lead general accounting and finance projects for our Space operations. This person will report to Maxar Spaceโ€™s Senior Director Accounting, Finance, & FP&A.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects and enhancement endeavors to completion and ensure results are maintained.
  • Improve monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, working closely with FP&A team
  • Work with other leaders to manage the day-to-day accounting and FP&A environment, continually seeking automation and efficiencies
  • Organize information, define processes, train/rollout to team members
  • Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices across accounting and FP&A
  • Insurance management including working with brokers, policy renewals and leading team to closure claims.
  • Manage deadlines for known areas of compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting and seeking out new areas as applicable
  • Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements as applicable

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Masterโ€™s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field. An additional 5 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a master's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting, finance, or FP&A experience with a combination preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management level accounting, finance, or FP&A role

Preferred:

  • SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Insurance management
  • Previous experience with Cash forecasting
  • Previous experience with a Manufacturing or Construction environment
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Superior organizational skills for a continually evolving environment
  • Able to work in a dynamic, complex environment as a self-starter who can quickly understand and develop processes
  • Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$116,000.00 - $247,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
