The Role:
We’re on the hunt for a Project Manager on our IT Shared Services team located in any of our Canadian offices.
Supporting all of MDA’s three business areas in Geointelligence, Robotics & Space Operations, and Satellite Systems, our team knows from experience that working in a hands-on learning environment enables us to collaborate across disciplines and get the job done. As a member of the IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will manage a variety of IT projects, spanning all MDA business areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering a variety of projects on time and on budget to customer requirements
- Managing projects from initiation through execution and delivery
- Ensuring IT PMO processes are followed
- Liaise with stakeholders to maintain effective relationships to instill and enhance confidence in IT’s solutions
- Preparing documentation including Charters, project management plans, requirements and design documents
- Maintaining hands-on control of the projects through application of PM best practices including regular reviews and status reporting
- Identifying and managing program risks and opportunities including prioritization, mitigation, escalation, and resolution
- Engaging and managing 3rd party vendors and consultants as required for successful project execution
Job Requirements/Skills:
- 5 + years of technical Project Management experience
- College diploma or degree in Information Technology or project management
- Experience managing technical projects
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Familiarity with project lifecycle from initiation through execution and close down
- Familiarity with MS Project or other scheduling tools
- Project management training/qualifications
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Teams
- Ability to motivate people
- Ability to cope with significant workload peaks
- Self- motivated and able to take initiative
- Ability to travel as required

Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110-000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
