Maxar is seeking ambitious junior software engineers to build novel solutions for challenging problems for both US Government and industry customers. Work is centered on the development of a suite of high fidelity, physics-based software that models air and space Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems to include their subsystems and payloads as well as ground components. The focus of this position will be to contribute to the full stack development of components that comprises a family of applications built on this software suite. Development is conducted in an agile environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science or related preferred). 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Java language experience
Experience with development tools such as Git, Eclipse, IDEA
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Effective oral and written communication skills to include active listening
Capable of managing to schedule and/or budget
Capable of working effectively in a geographically distributed development team

Preferred Skills:

Active TS/SCI clearance
Practical knowledge of Agile development process utilizing the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence)
Web application front-end experience (e.g., Vue/Javascript)
Familiarity with micro-service architectures and technologies (e.g., Spring Boot)
Familiarity with Spring Framework and associated annotations
SQL/database experience
Linux experience
Experience with ISR planning, scheduling, or modeling and simulation software

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$58,000.00 - $124,000.00 annually.
