Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is between $163,999.99 - $259,699.99 per year. The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, specific skills, and education level.

About The Position  

 

We are seeking a Senior Program Advisor to provide critical support to our LEO (Low Earth Orbit) program. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of program management principles, NASA processes, and the ability to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges. The Advisor will support our NASA customers directly at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.  

  

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive program plans, including the JPSS Program Plan, JPSS Review Plan, NEON Program Review Plan, and NEON Program Formulation Authorization Document.
  • Coordinate and facilitate key program reviews, such as Key Decision Points (KDPs) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) reviews, ensuring adherence to NASA guidelines and best practices.
  • Oversee program scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and configuration management activities.
  • Prepare and submit regular program reports, including weekly LEO reports, Flight Projects Directorate reports, monthly Program MSRs, and APMCs for JPSS, NEON, and QuickSounder.
  • Manage program documentation and ensure compliance with NASA policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop clear and concise presentations and reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with NASA, industry partners, and government agencies.

 

Requirements:  

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience in aerospace program management, preferably with NASA or a similar organization.
  • Strong understanding of NASA's program management processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint,)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with LEO satellite programs.
  • Familiarity with governing documents: NPR 7120, NPR 7123, SRB handbook, SMD PMC Operations Directorate
  • Familiarity with JPSS, NEON, and QuickSounder initiatives
