Description:An Interim Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
The Security Representative will support a DoD program in Kings Bay, GA. The role provides opportunity to implement all aspects of security including program, physical, operational and communications. The candidate should be familiar with Naval and NISP security requirements and have the ability to assist in implementing all applicable local security procedures in conjunction with LM security regulations. The selected candidate will be responsible for understanding all current policy with ability to adapt to changes in directives issued by cognizant Government Security organizations and work with LM and government security representatives, FBM personnel and site leadership to implement and maintain security measures.
The job scope requires support of the security program encompassing classified and sensitive materials, documents, employee clearances and classified equipment and support of program compliance with requirements derived from the DoD Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254). The candidate must be able to partner with internal and external customers and teammates, be a self-starter and multitask in a exciting environment. The candidate must be able to demonstrate sound judgment, have strong attention to detail and make effective decisions. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the day to day security support of a classified program to include, but not limited to, maintaining access lists and access control, sensitive and classified material control, providing security briefings, controlling employee identification cards and records, processing both incoming and outgoing visit authorization requests, maintaining accountability of classified material, attending program meetings, providing assistance in classification determination and investigating security violations/incidents, conducting program specific security orientation briefings/debriefings, engaging with Counterintelligence and providing threat information to personnel, assisting in implementation of Operations Security (OPSEC) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements, coordinating secure communication requirements and operations with the Communication Security (COMSEC) team, completing courier designation and authorizations for classified transportations, updating local records via electronic databases and assisting in conducting internal and government required self-inspections, and be required to support Navy inspections. At all times the priorities of the organization will be Security Compliance and Inspection Readiness. The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must be able to work with minimal supervision in a unique environment on a military installation. Some program travel and other duties, as assigned, may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires an Interim Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Knowledge of 32 CFR PART 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to travel on occasion to support operations
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a security related discipline (DoD, SCI and/or SAP programs) and ability to interpret policies
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with classification marking reviews
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Experience with various security databases like DISS, SIMS, PRISM, etc.
- Familiarity of Strategic Weapons Facility operations (LANT or PAC)
- Knowledge of SECNAV M-5510.36
