As Software Engineer you will:
• Be joining Ground Element Test engineers responsible for Integration, testing and deploying software and hardware products as an integral component of a larger, complex system and across multiple contracts throughout the full software lifecycle.
• Perform technical development for the requirements and regression test team by performing requirement verification, system validation and Test Automation development.
• Design, develop, and implement testing of use cases, scenarios, and requirements use different development languages and automated test tools.
• Work with members of the test team of engineers when defining test plans for requirement verification, system validation and architect the test automation framework as we continue transition into a DevOps paradigm.
• Perform and/or ensure the ongoing verification/validation of the created tests.
• Clearly communicate ideas and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Possess excellent organizational, written and communication skills, interacting with engineers on the team and across teams daily.
This is an EARLY CAREER (level 2) ROLE where candidates require 2+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.
Final Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start and must have the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI w/ poly clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with programing and/or scripting languages (C++, JAVA, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
• Experience with Agile and or Devops
• Top Secret clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ poly.
Desired Skills:
• Self-driven - ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Automated testing experience (Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity, junit, Sikuli, REST Assured etc.)
• Experience developing and communicating clear, concise test procedures
• Experience with building test architectures
• Experience with the Space domain (satellite ground systems and orbital platforms)
• Experience with Agile Development environments
• Experience with Agile Automated Test Development tools, software, and processes (e.g. Cypress, CI/CD pipelines, Docker container deployments, Kubernetes, JIRA, Confluence)

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
