Position Overview:

Boeing Defense India team is currently looking for Senior Program Management Specialist -P8I Training to join their team in New Delhi, India. This is an On-Site position.

The selected candidate will report to the Senior Manager, Operations and Training Programs.  In this role, the individual will interact with a wide variety of organizations and business units such as the India Ministry of Defense, the Indian Navy, BGS Government Training Engineering (GTE), Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS), Boeing Global Sales and Marketing (GS&M), and foreign and domestic suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the end to end execution of the P8I Training Devices Maintenance Contract.

• Assist in the development and execution of project plans and schedules

• Establish, monitor and integrate project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management and decisions

• Perform project management activities in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO-standards)

• Coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects

• Serve as a liaison between program and team, finance, planning, scheduling, and line management

• Use trend, variance analyses, risk assessments and mitigations, and cost and schedule baselines

• Perform project close-out and document lessons learned.

This position will require frequent travel. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Arrakonam (near Chennai) & Kochi where the P8I training devices are located, as well as other locations in India/US.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION

• At least 3 years of experience with Program / Project management

• Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Program Management Best Practices

• Experience working with international customers

• Experience with military or commercial aviation training

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+12 years' related work experience.
