Job Duties:
Performs a combination of manual and clerical material accountability, packaging and delivery duties which requires the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to create, update and maintain data. Receives outbound finished products from manufacturing and coordinates with customer and end user for pickup or delivery of the contracted requirement. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations. May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment. . Provide documentation of movement, control and expenditures for property, sensitive items, materials and/or service under various contracts. Initiating, updating and analyzing computerized logs of property and deliveries. Knowledge of mechanical equipment. Be able to absorb and employ written policies, procedures or guidelines in order to properly coordinate, package, protect, transport and provision the products according to contractual driven requirements. Work is in production-oriented atmosphere. Environment may be noisy and/or dusty. Temperature may fluctuate to Maintain equipment in optimal conditions. May work outside, day or night, in any kind of weather.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- General knowledge manufacturing, assembly and product delivery flow.
- 2 Yars in a Material handling role
- Computer literacy
- No existing Legal history, position may evolve to require secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous use of Material Resource Planning application. (SAP preferred)
- Understanding/experience with shipping and receiving Military equipment
- Heightened use of Excel, Understanding of Tables, charts, basic formulas, lookups, etc.
