Lockheed Martin Space in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking a Summer 2025 Software Engineering Intern. In this role, you will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities; design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment; and apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in computer science or software engineering and C++ or Python.
Testbed & Simulation is a dynamic and growing organization which plays a vital role in providing mission-critical intelligence solutions. Optimizing satellite operations, telemetry calculations, processing data through its entire life cycle and developing reliable cutting-edge systems for information dissemination across a global network is just part of what we do!
We support research, development, and fielding of forward-leaning simulation software to support critical work for satellite systems. This role partners across the organization to implement advanced, vertically and horizontally-scalable simulation solutions for use throughout the space vehicle lifecycle.
We have an extensive 'buddy' program to help you bring your college coursework to real-world software development. An engineer to help you transition to your agile software team, build your development environment, learn the nuances and techniques to model satellite behaviors and be part of a high performing and close-knit team.

Basic Qualifications:
• Actively enrolled in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
