Summary
We have a current opportunity for a Sr. CPSO/AFSO (Program Security Officer, Senior) located at our facility in Littleton, CO. In this role you will help the Lead Program Security Officer in the execution of all aspects of security management for collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Department of Defense (DoD) Special Access Programs (SAP). The ideal candidate must be versed and experienced in managing (SAP) programs, (SCI) programs and Facility Security Officer (FSO) duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure personnel processed for access meet prerequisite for personnel security clearance and/or investigative requirements.
- Manage personnel security records for DoD collateral clearances, SCI and SAP programs to include updating the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and maintain active profiles in Joint Access Data Base (JADE) with required personnel security documentation.
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to efficiently complete appropriate clearance actions.
- Send Visit Authorization Requests (VAR) for SCI/Program personnel visiting external locations.
- Conducts indoctrinations and debriefs of classified program personnel and processes mandatory self-reporting from program personnel to various customers.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, and all contractual requirements and aspects of the program including personnel, physical, and administrative security procedures.
- Provide policy interpretation and guidance for the security program for all personnel involved with SCI and SAPs.
- Serves as the communication link between internal and external entities/organizations.
- Maintain physical holdings and document control number (DCN) repositories, including issuance of DCNs and accountability of controlled holdings.
- Review and file foreign travel and other required reporting incidences as required.
- Perform SAP specific personnel security action, such as: Pre-Screening Questionnaire (PSQ) updates, Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreement (SAPIA’s) and Program Access Request (PAR’s) etc. at required occurrences for all personnel supporting special access programs.
- Manage physical security and access control of secure sites; Manage requirements for maintaining FCL and SCIF/SAPF accreditations.
- Conduct initial, recurring and refresher Security Education Training.
- Prepare DD254s and review DD254s for prime and sub-contractors.
- Identify the security needs of the customer and organization within business proposals, business capture, etc.
- Some occasional travel will be required.
Ideal Experience
- U.S. Citizen with a current/active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI/SAP access(es).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of five or more years of Industrial Security experience, acting as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). Willing to consider relevant work/military experience in lieu of degree. Minimum years of experience
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability within a dynamic environment. Demonstrated knowledge of national security policies, to include (but not limited to): NISPOM, Executive Orders, customer-specific directives and instructions, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), etc.
- Experience with DOD, SCI and SAP personnel security procedures and requirements.
- Must have a demonstrated and complete understanding of DOD and IC security procedures, policies, and requirements.
- Must have Security Program Officer (SPO) training certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of starting.
- Must have OPSEC Level I certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of starting.
- Must have FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities or be able to obtain certification within 60 days of starting.
- Must have (ITPSO) Insider Threat Program Senior Official certification from or be able to obtain within 90 days of starting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Desired Skills
- Familiar with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), including knowledge of Change Condition Packages and FCL submissions.
- Experience with DOD, SCI and SAP personnel security procedures and requirements.
- Experience writing, revising, and interpreting DD254s.

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
