As a Test Technician or Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and setting up test stands for high-thrust rocket engines. You will ensure the development and management of test procedures, and you will conduct rigorous testing to validate the engines' performance, reliability, and safety. You will contribute directly to the optimization of propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

Tasks and missions

· Design of test stands: Design, size, and install test stands considering mechanical, thermal, fluidic, and safety constraints. Define the configuration of sensors and measurement systems.

· Development of test procedures: Develop detailed procedures for each test campaign, including preparation, execution, data collection, and results analysis. Ensure compliance with safety standards.

· Conducting tests: Perform tests on the stands safely, following established procedures. Monitor critical parameters in real-time and make quick decisions in case of anomalies.

· Data analysis and reporting: Analyze test data to evaluate engine performance, identify potential malfunctions, and suggest improvements. Draft clear and detailed technical reports.

· Maintenance and improvement of test stands: Perform regular maintenance on test equipment, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and propose enhancements to optimize the efficiency and safety of the facilities.

· Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work closely with design, analysis, and systems engineering teams to ensure that testing aligns with the overall project objectives.

Preferred experience and skills

Education:

· Test Technician: Bac+2/+3 (Associate Degree/HND/Bachelor's) in mechanical engineering, physical measurement, or industrial systems.

· Test Engineer: Engineering degree or Master’s degree specializing in aerospace, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field.

Technical skills:

· Experience in the design and use of test stands, ideally in the aerospace or propulsion sector.

· Knowledge of measurement systems and instrumentation techniques (pressure, temperature, strain sensors, etc.).

· Proficiency with data acquisition tools and simulation software (e.g., NX, Simcenter).

· Familiarity with safety standards applicable to engine testing and test facilities.

Behavioral skills:

· Rigor, precision, and attention to detail, especially when executing tests and analyzing results.

· Effective stress management, with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to incidents or anomalies during tests.

· Team spirit and excellent communication, with the ability to collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.

· Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn and innovate to continuously improve testing methods and equipment.
