As part of the Electronic and Software Systems department of the company, you will be part of the On-Board Software team which missions are the development and qualification of:

- Flight program

- Flight sequence

- Avionic equipment drivers

- On-board network management

Internship subject: Mass memory function for launcher telemetry

Responsibilities

Tasks and missions

Throughout its flight, a launcher emits on-board generated data to the ground for immediate visualization or later analysis. This data transfer is done using an RF link between the launcher and ground stations, however there are parts of the trajectory where no station is in visibility of the launcher. The internship consists of developing a software (running on an existing hardware) able to record data during the non-visibility phases of the flight to reemit them again when a new ground station come into sight.

Key missions include:

- Complete the specification from Telemetry team,

- Build the software technical specification,

- Develop and demonstrate an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

- Integrate the function to the On-Board Software

This internship will provide hands-on experience in:

  • Embedded software development for launchers, focusing on real-time constraints
  • Understanding the flight sequence and telemetry data management
  • Applying functional qualification processes in an aerospace context

Preferred experience and skills

- Education: preparation of master’s degree in engineering / embedded software / electronics / software development

- Technical skills: Embedded development with understanding of real time constraints and low-level design patterns.

- Interfacing with a QSPI Flash chip.

- Soft skills: autonomy, diligent, rigorous

Nice to have knowledge:

· Software development: Ada

· Hardware development: VHDL

· Knowledge in Ethernet based network protocols
