Responsibilities: 

• The System Engineer will support requirements analysis, trade studies, system and interface design, system integration
• This position will work closely with subject matter experts, software engineers, PMs, hardware designers, and the software and firmware team.Successful candidate can look forward to a fast-paced, diverse work environment providing Engineering support for multiple project teams
• Support internal and external interface development and documentation
• Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, interfaces, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
• Develop new and novel methodologies for improving system integration
• Employ new technologies to solve problems and then apply those solutions

Requirements:

• 8 + years bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or +5 years with Masters
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital design.
• Understanding and development of "system architecture" designs with Camera designs
• Experience in the following areas:
  1. High-speed digital design work
  2. Camera designs & star trackers
  3. Must have familiarity with “Space level” parts:
     • Manufacturers and vendors. 
     • NASA Part screening levels 
  4. VPX design/specification+ (plus but not needed)   
  5. Understanding of low voltage power regulation solutions
  6. Integration of hardware into multi-functional systems
  7. Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from design through to production.
  8. PCB layout and routing rules understanding
  9. Understanding and development of system architecture designs with (NASA level) space parts

Preferences:

• Radiation Parts levels for “TID, SEU, SEL.”
• Fundamentals of signal and power integrity
• Related work experience in “Space level designs.” 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000/year
