Vast is seeking a Senior Producer to join our growing media production team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Media Production, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing production logistics for various media projects. You are a proactive, highly organized communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for storytelling across multiple channels.
In this role, you will handle most aspects of media production, including 3D animation, motion graphics, film, video, and social media planning and organization. You will be responsible for supporting live stream production, with live broadcasts becoming a major focus area for the company. This role requires someone with senior-level experience to lead the production process and ensure the success of all media outputs.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process for media projects, including in-house or on-location shoots, live broadcasts, and video content.
- Collaborate with media creatives, internal teams, and external vendors to execute projects that align with Vast’s brand and storytelling objectives. ● Manage production schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery of media content.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of production, such as location management, securing talent, and overseeing equipment and crew requirements.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure media productions support broader corporate messaging and marketing goals.
- Lead and support live broadcasts by managing key production elements like rehearsals, technical setups, and day-of execution.
- Assist in the organization of social media content production and help drive media strategy across various platforms.
- Stay updated on industry trends to bring innovation to Vast’s media production, especially in live streaming and emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in media production, with a focus on live
- broadcasts, 3D animation, motion graphics, film, and video production.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end production processes for a variety of media outputs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders, as well as work across departments to drive successful media production outcomes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work quickly and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, media production, or equivalent career experience.
- Experience working in a startup environment or in the tech industry, particularly in aerospace.
- A strategic thinker who can translate business strategies into compelling production plans and narratives.
- Familiarity with various forms of media, including trade, tech, social channels, and live streaming platforms.
- Experience coordinating complex logistics, including travel, equipment, and talent management for media productions.
- A proactive, curious mindset, ready to dive deep into Vast's vision and become an expert in our mission and goals.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
- Specific certifications, as appropriate
Pay Range
- Senior Producer $98,000-$140,000
