Job description
Duties
- Serve as manager of the Open Campus Project for Ames Research Center. Identify requirements for changing physical security elements and operations on portions of Moffett Field. Develop actions and sub-projects to accommodate the changes required.
- Collaborate with multiple organizations across the Center including Center leadership, Center Operations Directorate, Environmental Management Division, Legal, Protective Services, Facility Engineering Division, and NASA Research Park Office.
- Provide strategic coordination and negotiate for required resources to support new and existing leases between NASA Research Park and Center Operations divisions.
- Present project status and decision packages to Facility Utilization Review Board, Center leadership, Center Operations Directorate, Facilities Executive Council, HQ OSI, and other stakeholders as required.
- Communicate to stakeholders internal and external to NASA including local community and county offices.
- Create cost estimate and establish budget required for the Open Campus Project. Advocate for and identify funding sources.
- Develop and support new business processes and practices in the Center Operations Directorate.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
- Performing program management functions, to include, leading or managing a team, recommending solutions/changes to mitigate risks, implementing guidance and policies;
- Providing advice and guidance to center management and relevant stakeholders on program development, status, and compliance;
- Collaborating cross-organizationally with stakeholders to reach established program goals.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

If you are a current federal employee, you must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible for this position. To be eligible, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in a position no more than 1 grade lower than the advertised position. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible.)
