Electronics Manufacturing Engineer
As an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, you will work across design engineering, supply-chain, quality, and our manufacturing partners to drive electrical sub-system and PCBA manufacturing and delivery.
Role:
- Define manufacturing readiness requirements and lead key milestone reviews to ensure all stakeholder deliverables are complete.
- Work with the Design Engineering team to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges early in product development by enforcing DFM, DFA and DFS principles.
- Drive closure of all operational issues during pre-production builds.
- Investigate failures in production, test, and integration. Identify and mitigate underlying root causes to prevent reoccurrence and foster continuous improvement.
- Deliver manufacturing processes capabilities including equipment capability, quality controls, materials characterization, and workmanship standards.
- Actively monitor the success of products and processes through the production ramp.
- Provide direction to contract manufacturing, suppliers, and engineers to manage quarantine and rework activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Experience in board assembly process and equipment (for example: Stencil print, SPI, pick & place, reflow, AOI, ICT, x-ray inspection).
- Experience leading DFX reviews to deliver design manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability.
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
Bonus:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing or engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience with industry standard PLM and DFX systems, Mentor/Valor preferred.
- Experience performing Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.
- Experience with IPC standards for PCB, PCBA, and RFPC fabrication, assembly, and test.
- Experience in Polymeric application, including conformal coating, staking and underfill.
