Maxar is seeking a Director of Program Management to join our ISR line of business team in Melbourne, FL or Herndon, VA. In this role, you will lead aspects of assigned programs including being the accountable person for large proposal efforts as well as continuing to lead all aspects of program performance, post-award, through program completion. Primary focus will be to support expected government contracts but may be asked to support large commercial constellation efforts as well.
Responsibilities:
Plan, direct and control program activities to ensure the program objectives and the Customer requirements are achieved from pre-award program acquisition to program completion.
Develop, implement, monitor, control by applying program management controls through utilization of EVMS, Earned Value Management System to cost, schedule and execution.
Create, update and manage the integrated program plan and integrated master schedule.
Apply strong knowledge of FAR and DFAR to execution of contracts and programs.
Support business development activities for both commercial and government pursuits, including leading the team to define clear baselines for factory assessment and program costing.
Manage the technical baseline and Contractual requirements of the program and ensure that it satisfies the contractual obligations of SOW and FAR.
Ensure integrity, responsiveness, and ethical business practices exist in all dealings with the Customer.
Manage core team personnel and assign program specific responsibilities to appropriate Subsystem organizations.
Manage program reserves and work with the program business manager to balance risks and opportunities.
Perform program planning risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Coordinate program management and customer decisions with appropriate Subsystem organizations.
Conduct reviews, audits, trade studies, fact-findings, and establish corrective action plans and priorities to meet program objectives.
Provide timely and thorough program information as appropriate to executive management.
Authority:

Maintain program personnel to execute the program.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree. A master’s degree can be counted as two years of experience.
Minimum 15 years of experience including program management of large-scale engineering/manufacturing programs for ISR and IC customers.
Ability to travel in support of customer, supplier, or business development meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Satellite program and ISR customer expertise.
Experience with USG proposal development (i.e., color reviews) and EVMS program execution.
Knowledge of government and commercial space architectures, missions, systems, requirements, and acquisition methods required and be able to strategize unique solutions.
Experience leading (dotted line) a matrixed team of engineering professionals in solving challenging problems and working on complex systems.
