Seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer interested in working on highly complex and challenging facility related projects, while working with a team of Systems Engineers developing and utilizing digitally transformative tools, processes, and methods.
The ideal candidate will join the FCD&S Systems Engineering team working to build the Model Based Engineering Environment.
Areas of technical focus include: Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Architecture, Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), product life cycle process automation, and data analytics and management
This is a tremendous growth opportunity to leverage DX benefits, reduce program costs, and work as part of a collaborative work environment from which there can be continuous learning and growth.
The candidate will be required to incorporate system thinking and work with a multi-disciplinary group of experts to implement core Systems Engineering methods as part of the overall strategic vision.
The candidate must have a solid understanding of facility interface identification, verification and validation methods, risk analysis, and requirements analysis for building and infrastructure (or similar) systems and sub-systems.
Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in CCAFS/Titusville, FL , and be expected to work in the office as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an engineering or stem field.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering Processes
• Knowledge of Requirements Development
• Knowledge of Validation and Verification Processes
• Knowledge of Construction Process
• Experience presenting technical data to peers.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
