What does this role look like?
Alongside a wide-ranging multidiscipline team, you will design wire harness and cable assembly and installation drawings.
Our engineers work in a hybrid, geographically dispersed, interactive environment. We partner with industry leading suppliers to develop new components and technologies across the wire, connector, and wiring accessories product lines. We support our product designs at fabrication in various harness shops and we support at installation in across various spacecraft assembly sites.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Wire harness/cable logical schematic design and the 3D physical routing design. Our engineers begin developing the wiring designs from the research, conceptual, and layout phase then end with supporting assembly, installation, and some aftermarket sustainment.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Experience in using the Zuken E3 schematic/cabling drafting software (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling software (or similar) centered in model-based engineering.
• Collate with subsystem, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products
• Experience in presenting to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with a STEM focus and Mechanical Engineering fundamental principles
• Demonstrated experience providing harness assembly drawings using Zuken e3 and Creo Parametric.
• Willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Mechanical Design with strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics and materials.
• Experience in presenting to leadership and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Ability to work multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to create scripts for use in Zuken e3 environment
• Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Missile/Aerospace related experience .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with adjacent disciplines.
• Hands-on hardware experience.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $85,900 - $164,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
