Job description

Duties

  • Lead the DT Working Group (DTWG) to align NASA leaders on transformation aspirations to achieve a shared future state vision, define integrated digital roadmaps to get us there, and derive top gaps/barriers as priorities for digital solutions needed.
  • Coordinate the DT Technology Foundations early adopters to integrate efforts to systematically identify and test emerging digital technologies that can transform the way NASA works, aligned with the top pain points/gaps identified by the DTWG.
  • Lead the NASA Digital Service to facilitate rapid design of novel digital solutions using these new technologies and existing enterprise services to address priority pain points across NASA, leveraging human centered design and agile methodologies.
  • Oversee Contract Task Monitoring for DT contract communication and change management, including assisting Office of Procurement with the task initiation processes, providing task order approvals, technical direction and performance evaluations.
  • Direct DT Internal Communications to engage and inspire NASA’s workforce to adopt of modern ways of working, share resources available to them, and celebrate progress and successes; includes managing dynamic content for DT’s internal SharePoint.
  • Manage the DT External Website and Social Media presence, to foster partnerships to leverage external solutions as well as share NASA’s progress for others across government and our broader aerospace ecosystem and beyond to leverage.
  • Spearhead DT Event Design and Facilitation to spark innovation and promote adoption; includes engagements with the DTWG, the NASA workforce and external partners such as seminars, workshops, hackathons, roadshows, interchange meetings.
  • Oversee Contract Task Monitor Representative, for DT contract tasks supporting the functions above including assisting with the support request processes and providing task order approvals.
  • Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

GS-15: To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
  • Engaging, aligning and leading innovators to identify, evaluate and/or test emerging digital technologies for their applicability and readiness to meet business transformation needs;
  • Facilitating diverse stakeholders/users and subject matter experts to define, design and/or prototype innovative integrated digital solutions for business transformation priorities;
  • Developing, recommending and/or executing culture/change management strategies including workforce engagement/upskilling campaigns to achieve business transformation outcomes;
  • Creating, integrating and/or recommending communication strategies and leading teams to develop associated oral/written/digital communications products (such as internet/intranet sites, workshops, seminars, videos, articles/blogs, graphics, reports, social media posts, etc.) to increase buy-in on and drive adoption for business transformation initiatives.
