Job Description
Join our Electronics and Software Systems department as a key member of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team. Your mission will involve ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our GNC systems, contributing to the successful integration of these systems into our launcher.
Responsibilities
Tasks and missions
Your mission will include:
- Guaranteeing system performance by technically defining it, specifying materials to be supplied, and outlining necessary tests.
- Ensuring system design justification and integration into the launcher.
- Conducting dimensioning studies of the components in the flight GNC chain (sensors, actuators, computer).
- Performing design studies for flight control algorithms, including piloting strategy analysis, mission feasibility verification, and algorithmic design.
- Preparing and executing a test plan to qualify models and the overall system.
- Specifying, developing, and operating the HWIL test bench for system validation.
Preferred experience and skills
- Master's degree in physics or an engineering discipline
- You have at least 5 years of experience in GNC in the aerospace or defense industry
- Strong skills in navigation algorithms and techniques, and filters (EKF)
- Knowledge of navigation inertial sensors and GNSS,
- Fluent in simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent)
- Knowledge in parallel computing strategies and Monte Carlo method application
- Knowledge in the field of flight dynamics, orbital mechanics and control theory
- Knowledge in embedded software like embedded C/C++ or Ada would be a plus
- You have a culture on the space domain and basic knowledge in space mechanics.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team;
- Experience in mission analysis, related to low-Earth orbit and constellations and/or Moon missions;
- Fluent English.
