The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements and excellence of the strategic deterrence.
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Project Engineer to support projects within the Flight Test Projects Organization as a part of the FBM Reentry Product Segment in King of Prussia, PA.
The individual who fills this position will be responsible for supporting experimental projects being executed out of Valley Forge, Control Account Management (CAM) activities including schedule and budget management, risk management, and working with the engineering and production organizations to support hardware delivery schedules.
Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in King of Prussia, PA , and be expected to work in the office as needed
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 1+ years of professional experience in Project Execution or Program Management, supporting programs or projects to achieve their cost, schedule, and technical goals,
• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Earned Value Management experience
• CAM Certification
• Proposal Experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program and Trident II (D5) Reentry System.
• Experience with Strategic Missile and Reentry Systems and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, baseline and manage organizational budgets and schedules
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
