Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Aircraft Spotter / Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the team located at Kirtland AFB, NM.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Spotter:  perform spotting of aircraft during nighttime testing.
  • Perform construction support such as general set-up, supply delivery, and cleanup.
  • Provide basic support in response to trouble calls and become knowledgeable of customer service concepts.
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance of off-line equipment.
  • Use hand tools in multiple support functions.

This position is expected to be fully onsite.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) Clearance Post-Start is required.

Satisfactory results from the Laser Safety Observer Occupational Health Exam (OHE) are required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in facilities, maintenance, or construction.
  • A basic understanding of hand-held power tools (saw, wrench, hammer, drill, etc.) and their uses, and/or have relevant experiences in using those tools.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 15 feet in the air and stairs on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active security clearance.
  • Experience operating forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, or similar.

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (level A):  Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

Associate (level B):  Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Summary pay range:

Associate (level A):  38,250 - 51750

Associate (level B):  48,450 – 65,550
