Description:As a Project Engineer for the Next Generation GEO Operations and Sustainment Team you will:

Provide a multi-disciplinary engineering function to represent the Operations and Sustainment (O&S) team at technical working groups and through technical program planning to prevent leveraging 24x7 engineering crews.

Conduct product supportability analysis reviews and incremental Integrated Product Support (IPS) evaluations to identify supportability issues, risk mitigation actions, and provide technical interchange between the Contractor and Government.

In addition, the IPS Project Engineering team will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Operations and Sustainment team's training program for the following teams: Ground System Engineering, Hardware Engineering, System Administration, Network Engineering, and Communications Security (COMSEC). They will provide a progressive baseline for training and track ongoing certification requirements.

The ideal candidate will be organized and flexible with strong interpersonal skills, initiative, capacity to manage multiple tasks while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able to interact with multi-disciplined engineering teams, facilitate large working groups, meetings, forums, etc.

Other responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
• Lead the documentation and tracking effort of the transition of NGG development to sustainment.
• Support and facilitate “Tiger Teams,” technical working groups, support ground and space anomaly working groups.
• Host and chair periodic Operations Integrated Process Teams (IPT).
• Tracking and coordinating the technical training for the O&S teams.
• Creating a training matrix that is measurable to produce metrics for training completion.
• Conduct product supportability analysis reviews.
• Support the establishment and sustainment of a Product Support Analysis program.
• Coordinate and support the creation and sustainment of O&S of Contract Deliverables (CDRL’s).
• Participate in any depot maintenance activation working groups.
• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and presentation materials.
Basic Qualifications:
• Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated experience with project management
• Practical knowledge of project management tools
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, to include briefing senior leaders
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
• Demonstrated teamwork
• Strong organizational skills
• Final Secret Clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
Desired Skills:
• Flexibility and determination to learn new skills
• Process improvement experience
• Experienced with Jira and Confluence
• Accountable and responsible, able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
