This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will facilitate configuration management and control for various ground and spaceflight test article systems. You will provide crucial contributions to the team’s impact on all aspects of configuration management for each phase of the development lifecycle.
You will own electronic and field audits within various rocket engine and component test facilities. We coordinate regular configuration reviews to address test article and subsystem interfaces, subsystem functionality, assembly, and operations. Other duties will include guiding multi-functional teams through the Engineering Change process; supporting the resolution of integration issues with lead engineers and their respective teams; and developing or managing control documents associated with interface definitions between subsystems and test articles. Perform Control Data Management to Windchill, Epsilon3 and JIRA artifacts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain the high-level Engineering Bill of Materials and product structure
- Ensure the team adheres to industry and Blue Origin configuration management standards and methodologies
- Support process of developing system requirements, flow down, and verification planning
- Support improvement of program policy and procedures around effective configuration & organizational change
- Ensure that the configuration supports major design reviews and the integration landmarks
- Maintain and report on engineering development activity and technical issues
- Clear communication and collaboration with all development teams involved on projects
- Clear communication with senior program leaders including chief engineers and program directors
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in engineering and 6+ years proven ability in design, development, sustainment and/or configuration management of highly integrated, complex products
- Experience in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other related industry.
- Proven configuration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test, maintenance and sustaining.
- Management of multiple configuration variants of a common design baseline.
- Management of changes to an operational (fielded) system with varying effectivities across multiple products
- Familiar with viewing and navigating large models in CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with standard work and special projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Jules, Epsilon3, and/or JIRA
- Experience with PTC Windchill PLM tools
- Familiar with CAD conventions such as ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41
- Knowledge of aerospace rocket engine test stands and related quality control concepts
- Knowledge of current industry standard systems engineering and integration tools, methodologies
- Experience in a hard engineering skill such as mechanical, payloads, propulsion, etc.
