We’re on the hunt for a Production Planner I on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:
Planning and analysis of one or several simple programs, from design to delivery, through global analysis of requirements (material, equipment, facilities and work force) and constraints. Monitor the program schedules for on-time and efficient completion. Receives specific assignments with periodic supervision.
Tasks:
- Create demand / contract deliverables in ERP
- Create & maintain simple schedules based on progress of activities throughout entire program (Design, Procurement, AI&T)
- Create Design Release Plan and follow-up on progress with program team
- Prepare and revise Production Readiness review.
- Monitor the progress against the plan at regular intervals and raise planning and capacity problems
- Identify and record schedule risks, critical activities, program critical path and constraints within the plan and analyze the impact of modifying it, with guidance of more experience personnel
- Record key resources (material, equipment, facilities and manpower) required per activity in the schedule required to meet the plan
- Administer and follow-up on major equipment reservations and floor space capacity management
- Review and sign ECNs for items that are an assembly for simple programs assigned
- Investigate material flow problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions
- Support the master scheduler for the improvement and implementation of planning and scheduling methods and systems.
- Prepare shipping order papers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, operations management option (preferably) or in commercial sciences. PMI-PMP Certification is an asset.
- 2 years of relevant experience in a project management and/or production-planning environment. A combination of other pertinent education/experience could be considered.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite and one project management software, preferably Primavera.
- Good understanding of product nomenclature notions, schedule planning, scheduling and project management concepts.
- Sense of urgency.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Accountability and responsibility.
- Some analytical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Customer focus (internal and external).
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changes.
- Knowledge of French and English is essential (spoken and written).

Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
