What You'll Do :

  • Lead and inspire: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of hardware and software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Drive technical excellence: Ensure integration between hardware components, microcontrollers, and host systems, focusing on system reliability, performance, and efficient hardware-software interaction.
  • Ensure mission success: Guarantee the reliability and performance of critical satellite electronic units and subsystems, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Shape the future of avionics: Ensure integration between hardware components, microcontrollers, and host systems, focusing on system reliability, performance, and efficient hardware-software interaction.

Requirements

What You'll Need:

  • Essential qualifications: BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience: 6+ years of experience in electronics engineering and software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Technical expertise:
    • Strong experience in board-level design, including schematics, PCB layout, simulations, and PCB technologies.
    • Proficiency in writing and debugging firmware in C for bare-metal and RTOS environments on microcontrollers.
    • Experience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).
    • Familiarity with C++, including object-oriented programming and multi-threading.
  • Leadership skills:
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a proven ability to motivate and guide teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across disciplines.
    • Proficient problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root-cause analysis on failures.

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:

  • Highly desired: Experience with high-speed digital design.
  • Valuable assets:
    • Aerospace industry experience.
    • Expertise in developing and optimizing C++ applications for embedded Linux environments.
    • Deep understanding of embedded development best practices, including code review, unit testing, and CI/CD.

  • Base salary range for this position is 3600-4500 euros per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
