This role is within the Double Eagle organization supporting the Flight Operations Team as a Senior Spacecraft Controller. Some of you responsibilities will include:
• Conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases
• Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites
• Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support
• Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data
• Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements
• Analyze and validates software performance
• Perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies
• Requires successful completion of a certification program
Candidate should have flight operations experience, advanced communication skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop effective customer relationships and work with senior technical management
• Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex systems
• Basic programming skills using UNIX/LINUX operating system
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph

• Previous experience with a customer base on a program for complex systems, software development, and issue resolution
• Experience in conducting technical investigations and providing results to leadership team
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
