We are seeking a Manager to lead our SW Engineering Team.
The role includes a variety of responsibilities, such as:
• Managing a team of 20 to 30 engineers, including an Associate Manager who motivates a team of 15 to 20 software engineers.
• Monitoring and addressing system performance issues, managing software deployments, and assisting with resolving system issues.
• Managing personnel resources to support financial plans and ensuring appropriate daily staffing.
• Recruiting, hiring, and developing the team with the appropriate skill level and diversity mix.
• Providing guidance to staff members to meet critical schedules and resolve technical or operational problems.
• Performing administrative management duties, including timecard approval, compliance training, promotions, job actions, performance reviews, awards, and terminations.
• Owning, executing, and statusing site-level initiatives.
• Assisting and coordinating with the test team for system integration and test activities.
• Supporting ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by Program leaders.
This position requires thorough engineering process understanding, leadership, and organization skills, as well as the ability to work closely with site stakeholders, program managers, product owners, and peers, while assuming project responsibility for the integration and management of product baselines at a customer site. The position also requires an on-call component for 24/7 emergency support.
SENIOR, LEVEL 5 position that typically has 14+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Basic Qualifications:
• Leadership experience in design, organization, and development of software
• Demonstrated experience guiding teams in dynamic environments.
• This position requires a Secret clearance prior to start and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Level clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with software configuration management software such as GIT
• Familiarity with managing software across multiple configuration baselines
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Experience with servers, network design and protocols, develop software, embedded systems, and/or driver development is beneficial.
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and senior program management
• Software experience in C++, C, Java, or other coding languages
• Experience with Cost Account Management & Earned Value
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $236,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
