We are seeking a highly motivated Integration and Test Engineer to support efforts and serve as an interface to coordinate and perform test efforts and activities at our customer site. The Integration and Test Engineer must have strong inter-personal and communication skills and must be capable of successfully explaining procedures in writing and verbally. Weekend/evening or call-in work occasionally required supporting 24x7 operations or maintenance activities.
Integration and Test Engineer Expectations:
• Assist in updating operational procedures and documentation and training packages.
• Train crew personnel in software upgrades and procedures.
• Perform work under general direction.
• Solve moderately complex problems with minimal assistance.
• Lead projects pertaining to software testing and transition, while ensuring schedules, activities, requirements, and resources are properly coordinated.
• Report technical results, quality, and schedule objectives for assigned tasks.
Specific duties include:
• Coordinate and conduct Operational Release Level (ORL) testing
• Conduct external segment interface verification and system demos
• Define test requirements and system transition procedures
• Develop, write, and issue test documents to include Test plans/procedures/reports
• Coordinate and schedule system resources to support testing
• Participate in Test Status Meetings
• Support integration and plan of future deliveries and systems
• Troubleshoot basic system anomalies
• Participate in engineering review boards
• Coordinate and support off-hours testing and associated projects
Weekend/evening or call-in work occasionally required in support of scheduled and unscheduled test activities.
Must be able to certify as a system operator and work occasional shift work in between software releases.
Basic Qualifications:
• Software testing experience
• Oral and written communication skills
• Conduct Customer and Management briefings
• Attainment of SEC+ within 6 months
Desired Skills:
• Previous DARKWING operational experience
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies
• Experience and understanding of the Discrepancy Reporting Tool
• Experience working in an operational environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
