What you’ll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

• Engage in the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operations, and refinement.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Scale systems sustainably, and evolve services by identifying changes that improve reliability, cost, and performance
• Develop resilient operational services that provide key functionality for operations
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
• Participate in the Agile software development process
• Provide timely support to our 24x7 operations teams including on-call support
• Natural curiosity and ability to continually learn about our evolving complex ground system

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues across multiple complex systems and propose and implement new solutions.
• Understand the fundamentals of CI/CD, container infrastructure life cycle, software source control (git/github)
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of software design, development and troubleshooting
• Development experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, TypeScript, or Ruby
• Experience supporting software running in a Linux OS
• 2+ years experience in DevOps or Software Development or similar field
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.  Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance desirable
• AWS Associate or Professional Certification highly desired
• Experience with Python or TypeScript
• Experience with log aggregation tools like Elastic Stack
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of Service Oriented and Microservice Architectures
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues across multiple complex systems and propose and implement new solutions.

$89,000.00 - $189,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
