We are seeking a Proposal Manager 2 to join our team. The selected candidate will work with teams to manage the capture/sales pipeline and coordinate all proposal activities, creating compliant, compelling business proposals that result in winning new business with U.S. and international customers. This position is located on-site in Devens, MA.
Role and Responsibilities:
Document and train the team on a standard proposal development and review process
Lead and execute proposal management, partnered with designated PMs and Portfolio Leads to ensure on-time delivery of proposals and document lessons learned to improve processes
Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
Ensure that all customer requirements are determined and are addressed in the proposal response, including use of SOW compliance matrices
Engage with Portfolio Managers to craft proposal strategy and develop compelling messaging to address Northrop Grumman strengths
Create compliant, compelling proposals which clearly and succinctly address the RFP requirements
Work with the proposal team to generate proposal risk assessments
Maintain the business capture pipeline within SalesForce and perform pipeline data analytics
Lead AOX opportunity/awards plan reviews with BU leadership
Act as first point of contact for potential AOX customers
Organize Business Development activities such as conference attendance plans, webpage/marketing
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, management, or business-related discipline with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant proposal experience; OR a minimum of 8 years’ relevant proposal experience with a Master’s degree in a technical, management, or business discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically in proposal management
Experience leading proposals greater than $1 million in value
Experience leading and/or writing proposal volumes
Ability to travel as needed
Strong attention to detail, as this position requires processing large amounts of data across dozens of programs simultaneously
Strong teamwork and communication skills to ensure changes to plans are fully understood
Ability to organize, balance and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment
Strong computer skills including MS Office, specifically with Excel
US Citizenship is a bona fide requirement
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent skills in critical thinking, writing, editing, visual element planning, and BOE development
Experience with DoD FFP and cost type proposals, including cost volume development
Understanding of Northrop Grumman Space Sector strategies, customers, and priorities
Experience with NG tools including Salesforce, SharePoint, Tableau, Workday, etc
Experience with organizational effectiveness and operations implementing best practices
Advanced Data Analytics training and experience
Active Top Secret Clearance
